Topic Overview

The Arab-Israeli conflict has dominated the political stage for the past half century. The roots of the conflict stem back to the beginning of the 20th century and despite many attempts to broker peace throughout the decades, a resolution to this conflict continues to remain elusive. It is challenging to study the Arab-Israeli conflict in isolation since the conflict involves the international community. As such, this subject guide suggests key terms for studying the Arab-Israeli conflict, but also suggests terms for examining the involvement of the United States in this conflict.
