Proprietary Data
There are several other data sources for the music industry, such as Big Champagne and Nielsen's Sound Scan and Broadcast Data Services. However, these sources are proprietary data (owned by the company) and must be purchased. Individual record labels also have data on albums and sales, but this too is proprietary.
