Introduction

Welcome! This guide is meant to help you find some of the University of Illinois Library's most useful books in researching fairy tales. The books listed in this guide include translations and collections of primary texts, commentaries, and indices and bibliographies of fairy tales and criticism within the genre.

This guide is divided into two primary pages: Folk and Fairy Tales of the World and Folk and Fairy Tales of Specific Countries. For more information of Grimm's Fairy Tales, go to the LibGuide for Grimms Fairy Tales.
