Finding literary theory
The UIUC Library owns a rich collection of works of literary theory in various formats (encylopedias, readers, books and articles) that are housed in the Modern Languages and Linguistics Library, English Library, Undergraduate Library and Main Stacks (mostly older). Most resources are in English, though some are in Spanish.
There are several ways of finding literary theory.
1. Visit a library--The Modern Languages and Linguistics and English Library's reference sections or open shelves in the call number range 801 offer a weath of materials.
2. Search the Library's Online Catalog by the subject headings Literature --History and criticism --Theory, etc.; Literature --Philosophy, Literature --Philosophy; Ciritism.
3. Consult a general guide to literary theory (see left-side box).
