Welcome to the Ecology, Ethnology, and Evolution Literature Guide. 

This guide contains selected core reference and other literature finding aids for this subject area. 



Ecology is "the subdiscipline of biology that concentrates on the relationships between organisms and their environments; it is also called environmental biology."¹  more  

Ethnology is "the study of the characteristics of different peoples and the differences and relationships between them."²

Evolution is "the process by which different kinds of living organism are believed to have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth."³
