• Contemporary World Issues: The USA PATRIOT Act 345.7302 B21u - "This book examines the actions of presidential administrations-especially the administration of Republican President George W. Bush (2001-) as they slowly assessed the unique threat that radical, suicidal Islamic fundamentalists pose to a free and open democratic society." -Introduction. This book looks at the laws passed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, specifically the USA PATRIOT Act.
• Encyclopedia of Terrorism Q303.62503 C733e - This book contains brief descriptions of the most "serious and influential terrorist personalities and organizations and the most significant motivations and victims of the terrorism." -Introduction. There are entries for "Homeland Security, Office of" as well as a section entitled "U.S. and International Reaction to September 11, 2001, Day by Day." This provides a timeline from 9/11 to 11/26/2001.
• CQ Researcher Online Research Resources - This source presents an analysis of issues in the news in a non-biased way. Searching for "Homeland Security" will bring up an article published September 12, 2003 which summarizes the changes in Homeland Security in the two years since the 9/11 attacks.
• Editorials on File Q070 Ed 46 - This is a "twice-monthly newspaper survey" and an objective compilation of editorial opinions from over 150 North American newspapers. Useful articles can be found listed in the index under "Homeland Security" and "Patriot Act."
