How to Use the Library

All Music and Performing Arts Library materials can be used in the Library. We have equipment to view/listen to all of the various media items in our collection, from LPs to DVDs.

If you want to check something out, you need a current UIUC ID card or a courtesy card. Look here for more information about our lending policies.

Get more information about searching the Library catalog for books, scores, and recordings here.

ELLNORA is a biennial guitar festival held at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. The festival is named for Ellnora Krannert, who founded Krannert Center for the Performing Arts with her husband, Herman.

This guide is intended to point you toward library resources that can help you discover more about the artists appearing as part of ELLNORA. It is not a complete representation of everything happening during the festival--just a sampling.

Each tab represents one event or series of similar events and will provide you with suggestions of where to look in the library catalog and online. Check out our guide on Finding Music Materials for more detailed information. The links provided are just suggestions and you should also try some searches on your own to see what you can find!

The Big Picture

Do you want to see the big picture of what materials related to guitar music MPAL has in its collections? This Library catalog search for guitar music as a subject retrieves over 2,000 scores, recordings, videos, and books.

You can also try searching for a particular guitarist or composer as the author and you'll retrieve recordings and/or printed music. For example, Pat Metheny and Joaquín Rodrigo (we added the word "guitar" to this search to get only his guitar pieces).
