Environmental information is multidisciplinary. It encompasses many fields, including engineering, chemistry, ecology, biology, agriculture, economics, history, and business. At the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, the topic of waste is what links these disciplines together.

This guide is intended to be an introduction to environmental sources for librarians who don't specialize in environmental information, with an emphasis on resource efficiency and pollution prevention.
