Welcome!
In addition to holding over 100,000 reels of microfilmed newspapers, HPNL also holds the majority of UIUC library's general microfilm collection. The term “microform” encompasses microfilm and microfiche (as well as the now mercifully extinct microcard). The HPNL Microform stacks can be accessed via 246 Main Library.

Quick Guide:
- Search the Online Catalog (title or keyword search).
- Search the UIUC Library Newspaper Database to find newspapers on microfilm. Great tool for searching by place of publication!
