Bus service

CU MTD serivce

Did you know your OLLI i-card allows you to ride the bus for free?

The OLLI bus shelter is at the southwest corner of the OLLI parking lot (behind the Natural History van), and the northbound bus appears twice per hour. After 11 AM weekdays, the times are 8 minutes and 38 minutes past each hour (the bus might be late but won't be early on timed runs).  Although the i-card allows unlimited rides on all MTD buses, even that isn't necessary on this one (the "Hopper" buses for UI folks are "hop-on/off" and don't require IDs).

For southbound return buses, riders must walk two blocks north to the Transit Plaza at the Illini Union Book Store. The YellowHopper bus will loop around south of OLLI before returning to our bus shelter. An alternative is to take any Yellow #1 bus to Parking Lot E-14 and walk the one block to OLLI.

WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

The University Library strives to meet the information needs of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute through world class collections, targeted instruction and open events.

As part of the land grant mission, the University Library partners with OLLI to bring members access to the third largest university research library in North America and the largest publicly-supported university research library in the world. As an OLLI member, you are able to check out materials from the library including books and videos, access online databases such PubMed and ArtStor as well as read online newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. This guide is meant to introduce you to the many resources of the University Library and help you to find your way around in-person and online.

If you have any questions, please contact Ask a Librarian.
