Welcome to the stage lighting LibGuide!  We hope that this guide will make you aware of the resources available to you.  The Music and Performing Arts Library as well as other libraries on campus hold reference material, books, DVDs, and journals for your study of stage lighting.  These sources present research material as well as practical applications and techniques for lighting design.  We also hope to make you aware of the different online resources available from guides to lighting organizations.

This guide may be most helpful to those taking THEA 231, 423, 435, and/or 437, and focuses on library materials, though it provides material usable to anyone wanting more information on stage lighting and design.  It can be used comprehensively or as a quick reference tool for one area.  Check out the tabs above to discover which topics will be most helpful to you.  Overall, we hope that after browsing this guide, you will be more comfortable using the library to research your craft.
