Getting Started
Welcome to the Music and Performing Arts Library. Beginning in Spring of 2008 Library incorporated into its collections materials relating to theatre. We are the resource for those individuals studying acting, directing, costume design, scene design, lighting and sound design, theatre history, and criticism. We also house playscripts and (some) journals. We don't have (for the most part) dramatic works of Shakespeare and related authors, or materials relating to dramaturgy. Those materials are held at the English Library; librarian Kathleen Kluegel is available to help with research in those areas.
This guide, the majority of which was authored by Kathleen Kluegel, will help you begin your research and give you an idea of the resources available to you. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via email or phone and/or stop in the Library.
We look forward to seeing you in the Library!
