Getting Started

This site is intended to help students in Music 474 and others researching vocal literature. The tabs above list types of resources available--please note that there are sub-tabs under some of the tabs. Choose any one to get started, although if you are new to research you may find it helpful to work from left to right across the tabs.

Materials regarding music and music theatre are located at the Music and Performing Arts Library. Should you need any assistance, feel free to contact me (dougan@illinois.edu).

If, during the course of your research, you encounter resources that we do not own, please request the item from the IShare catalog or via InterLibrary Loan.

For more information about research Musical Theatre, see our Musical Theatre Guide. For help finding popular songs, see our Finding Popular Songs guide.
